Yehor Maistruk commits to Kenyon: First publicized breaststroke/IM recruit in the College Class of 2031

Amid the U.S. college swimming recruiting cycle, a notable commitment has emerged: Yehor Maistruk, a rising senior at Summit High School, has announced a verbal commitment to Kenyon College. SwimCloud posted the news, making Maistruk the first publicly identified recruit in Kenyon's Class of 2031. He is a breaststroke and individual medley specialist who holds strong short-course times from the 2026-25 season. Maistruk trains year-round with Streamline Aquatics Club and is a two-time Junior Nationals qualifier. His career-best short-course yard times are 54.34 in the 100 breaststroke, 2:01.56 in the 200 breaststroke, and 1:49.33 in the 200 IM. These results place him in a competitive position for NCAA Division III and the North Coast Athletic Conference. Kenyon recently finished second in the NCAC and fourth at NCAA Division III. Maistruk is projected to make an immediate impact on the Owls' medley relays, particularly in the breaststroke leg. However, his record currently lacks long-course times and detailed technical data such as stroke rates and splits. The main risk is the transition from high-school training volume to college-level intensity. Breaststroke carries a known risk of knee and shoulder issues. With two full seasons of development before his first college conference meet, Maistruk has time to adjust physically and technically.
